Let me give you an idea of just how organized Alex Yakovleff’s wardrobe is. His tshirts are sorted into the following categories: solid, political, band and miscellaneous. His sweaters are sorted into two drawers: bulky and non-bulky. And his 22 pairs of argyle socks? They’re folded neatly next to his underwear.

Alex, a Vermont native that moved to Portland from New York City over a year and a half ago is currently a grad student. Unlike most scholars, he doesn’t roll out of bed, throw on a sweatshirt and head to class. Most days you’ll find him in a fitted vest, shirt and tie.

“I started out wearing collared shirts with t-shirts. Then I wore them with a blazer. I finally made the plunge and committed to ties,” says Alex. His girlfriend Ashley looks on and whispers to me, “Isn’t his closet meticulous?!” Yes. Yes it is. Watch our video to check out Alex’s pristinely organized gentleman’s attire.

Thanks to Alex for letting us snoop - and for letting me stand on his bed to take the video!
