It’s never too late to make a holiday donation to a local charity. As part of Corey’s #bloggingforgood initiative, we hope everyone will be able to contribute to a cause they believe in to kick off 2012 on a high note.
We’ve been fortunate to work with Dress for Success, a non-profit that helps provide women with professional attire in order to help them advance in their careers. It’s not just about handing over power suits, but the volunteers at Dress for Success offer an important system of empowering women to feel good and have the confidence to enter the workforce.
If you can’t give monetarily, consider donating clothes to the organization. Learn about the organizations other bloggers are supporting here.

Guess what FFF readers? I’ve got a very special invite to share with you here. Creative Work Systems, a not-for-profit agency based here in Portland, supports people with disabilities throughout Southern Maine. Next Thursday they’re kicking off their first fall fundraiser to raise support (and funds) for a new greenhouse and cultivation system. There will be live music, a cash bar, a silent auction with some awesome stuff and performances from CWS participants. Everything kicks off at 6 and tickets are $20 at the door (or $15 if you pay ahead of time.) If you aren’t familiar with CWS and the amazing work they do, check out their site here. Feel free to get in touch with us or send them an email if you’d like to attend. Oh and dress up, cause we hope to see you there.
