I’m back from a week in Mexico (and a quick trip to Beantown). I’ll be sharing some street style photos from my trip all week. Hasta luego!
I stopped to chat with these ladies on Exchange Street - in matching black pants and boots - true winter staples. They’re working in Portland for a month and were out “exploring the city”. Of course I told them to check out Fore Front Fashion in case they wanted to know where they should shop.

This Mainer was in town visiting his Mother for the weekend. Currently a student at Yale University, he’s got the Ivy League style down flat. Navy pea coat? Check. Backpack? Check. Ray Ban’s? Check. Ryan Gosling-esque coif? Double check. It might be time I tour college campuses again.
Two fellas with great style spotted in Monument Square. I really love when men opt for layers for warmth rather than bulky coats. Here, a nice oxford shirt, red cardigan and a wool blazer (pocket square and all) is all that was needed on a Sunday afternoon. And of course Jacket, a Jack Russell/Whippet mix, looked equally handsome.
A great article in Vogue about watching a Paris runway show from a farmhouse in Maine.

I finally watched the documentary on Bill Cunningham over the weekend. From a very young age, I was fascinated by street style. Every Sunday morning when the Times would hit our family’s driveway, I would rush out to grab the Style section before my Father could get to it. Bill Cunningham’s column was my absolute favorite thing to read.
The Maine Music Hoodie is now available to purchase at Elykssor! The hoodie features the signatures of some of our favorite Maine musicians: Spose, Will Mallett and Dave Gutter. There’s only 50 available, so you better hurry!
This shot/my poor photographic skills don’t do this guy justice. I’ve seen him around Portland before and have been bracing for the opportunity to get a shot of him. He’s always sporting orange aviators, bike gloves and laceless oxfords. It’s quite a feat to be able to wear those three pieces so regularly that they’re just a natural part of his personal style.
I don’t know the right description for this gal, a Portland resident who was born in Dubai. I’ll call her “bad ass mama” because she a) is rocking that moto jacket and b) was spotted strutting around cobblestones in those heels like it was her job. Turns out fashion is in the fam since she informed me that her sister has also been spotted by Fore Front.
Hello boys! I chased down these well-dressed gents as they exited Starbucks to snap a group photo. I love the variety of styles here, from a trapper hat to a toggle cardi to chic sneaks, there was a lot of good going on. Unfortunately, these fellas were visiting from Boston. But don’t worry, I informed them that their city is not known for their style, though they might be the exception.
I met up with my pal Kyle, cofounder of Elykssor Clothing, to catch up since we last talked. A lot has changed since we first met back in May. They’ve since launched two new websites (a new site and shop), they’ve started their own web series (hopefully they cover my biopic) and they’ve started doing limited release runs of hoodies, thermals and knit hats, most of which sell out within the first two weeks. In essence, they’ve become a big deal. Their next limited run will be a Portland music hoodie, which will have the signatures of local musicians, that will be on sale in February. Kyle’s a good ‘ole Maine boy and credits all their success to the people in Maine that have supported the brand since it launched. What’s up next? Their first spring collection. And perhaps a web series starring me…(wink, wink, nudge).
