Alex the Clam-digger, spotted on Ferry Beach.
This is what downtown Portland looked like a year ago. It’s supposed to hit 53 degrees tomorrow. Winter, you have failed us.
I’ve spotted Betsy everywhere around Portland - from ordering bagels at One Fifty Ate to riding her bike across the Casco Bay Bridge. She’s one of those girls that knows how to straddle the line between cozy and stylish perfectly. Her swingy striped tunic was the perfect foreshadow for spring. A layer of tights, knee socks and short vintage boots kept the rest of her snug because let’s be honest, there’s still a nip in the air.
(Big congrats to Betsy who got engaged the day after we took this photo!)
We like to keep on the pulse of fashion trends throughout New England. Though Portland fashion is our one true love, sometimes it’s good to see what our neighbors are up to. Enter Boston Magazine’s big spring fashion piece. Color blocking, neon hues, menswear-inspired pieces and tunics galore will apparently be big on the streets in Beantown. Can you see any of these trends hitting Portland?
Currently lusting for Spring: beige secada top by Ashley Tyler, a spring vest from Grandma June, Joie Dress from Shop Chantal, silk skirt from Signature and a vintage DVF blouse from Atomic Salvage. Just get here warm weather! What’s on your spring shopping list?
